Outside of its regular, weekly “Guided Bird Watching” events, the Big Walnut Bird Club hosts Field Trips roughly once a month. These events are a bit more private and require an RSVP to be sent to our partners at Putnam Parks & Pathways. The RSVP email is: hello@putnamparks.org 

Guided through a mix of public and private lands, the Big Walnut Bird Club assists birders with listening for calls and identifying birds. Starting the late spring, Warblers and spring migrants are most popular, this transitions to waterfowl and shorebirds later in the year towards November. The members of the club are very welcoming and helpful for those that are new to the craft and they even produce an email newsletter which you can sign up for the same way you RSVP for the event, by sending an email to hello@putnamparks.org

There is no charge for any of these events and they are all open to the public.
