“Drive in the Park” is a great opportunity to learn the dynamics of your car, which can prove useful on the street or on the track. It is for everyone, track experience is not required, and instructors are available for those just beginning.
For the July 20-21 event at Putnam Park Motorsports Country Club, which is a High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) experience, drivers will be divided into novice, intermediate, advanced, and instructor classes, and drivers/vehicles will be appropriately grouped. Drivers may register for one day or for both at a discounted rate. Registration costs increase as the event draws closer, with increases March 29, April 26 and May 24, so early registrants save.
The event is hosted by AutoInterests, a professional motorsports event management business specializing in HPDE for sports car drivers. “Drive in the Park” will continue from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is part of a series of HPDE events around the US.
Started as a car club in 2004, comprised of owners wanting to learn to drive cars fast but safely, off public roadways, the group transformed into a professional grassroots motorsports organization sharing the passion for driving with anyone who wants to experience it. All makes and models of cars are welcome with no membership required.
