Billed as the “Toughest Run in Putnam County,” the Gnaw Bone Wilderness Challenge at Camp Friend is a walk/run for the entire family on September 14. Check-in begins at 8 a.m., with a start-time of 10.
Cost is $20/adults for pre-registration, $25 the day of the walk/run, and $15/children ages 5 – 12 for pre-registration, $20 day of the event. Participants receive a t-shirt, and awards will be presented to first-, second- and third-place finishers in each age/gender category, as well as to the fastest family.
Camp Friend is a 62-acre campground for youth to enjoy. All funds raised by the Wilderness Challenge go toward creating additional facilities.
