Limited to 12 registrants to ensure that every participant and their horse receive individualized instruction and attention, this Horsemanship Clinic provides focused in-the-saddle experience and training taught by Master Clinician Ed Chambers at his Turning Point Equine Center.
As with all of Ed’s clinics, this day-long session is designed to meet you where you are in your horsemanship journey, regardless of your riding discipline (i.e. English/Western). Participants start with determining how proficient they are on the basics, such as disengaging the hindquarters and side passing, and moving forward from there. Everyone will be challenged and invigorated with new and innovative activities to improve their skill level, and the goal of the day is a softer, more responsive horse and the development and refinement of horsemanship and leadership skills.
This clinic takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Turning Point’s 100′ x 200′ indoor arena, a safe and well-lit environment that allows participants to focus on learning, and fine tuning skills, without distractions for rider or horse.
The $175 clinic fee includes a hearty breakfast and lunch, drinks and snacks. Auditing passes are available for $30, which include meals and refreshments, and registration is required for auditors.
If you wish to come in the night before the clinic, electrical hook-ups, bunk house accommodations and stall space are available for rent. Please contact Turning Point for information, pricing and reservations.
As with any clinic, be sure to bring your own: water bucket, feed bucket, hay, grain, hay bag, muck bucket, manure fork, grooming tools, etc.
