Free Fishing Days in Indiana is highlighted by the Greencastle Parks & Recreation Department out at Jaycee Park on the first Saturday in June. This state-wide event encourages residents and especially children to go fishing for free in state areas.

The Kids Fishing Derby is a free fishing tournament for kids in Putnam County. Winning the tournament means catching the most fish in the time frame allowed, it’s that simple! Registration starts the morning of the event, at 7:30 a.m. at the park. There is no pre-registration and no fee, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
