Guest Recital: Percussionist Andy Harnsberger

March 31, 2020 7:30pm - 9:00pm

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS CONCERT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. DePauw University’s top priority is the safety of the community. With the reporting of the first positive case of COVID-19 identified in Marion County, near Indianapolis, the University is following health department recommendations to cancel large events.

Percussionist Andy Harnsberger visits for a guest recital at DePauw, playing the marimba. Praised by Percussive Notes Journal as “A Master of Musical Nuance”, Harnsberger is a performer, composer and educator who has performed in musical venues across North and South America, Australia, Japan, and Europe.

He has been a featured artist at the Tamborimba Percussion Festival in Cali, Colombia and the Patagonia Percussion Festival in Argentina, and he served as artist/faculty for the Sulzbach-Rosenberg/Interharmony International Music Festival in Germany.

Currently Associate Professor of Music and Percussion Coordinator at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, he has his own signature series mallets. His recital in Greencastle is free, and all are welcome.
