For nearly a decade, the Greencastle Music Fest has been the largest, most exciting music event happening in Putnam County. A 2023 winner of the Best Event/Festival in Indiana from the Indiana Tourism Association, this two-day music festival has so much more than just music.

Starting on Friday evening, August 25th at 5:00 p.m. guests can enter the event space which is two entire blocks located directly on the historic courthouse square in downtown Greencastle. Food trucks and games line the street as the music starts to play. This year, Friday night consists of longtime Greencastle favorites, The Crashers as well as The Woomblies Rock Orchestra. Both bands bring their own followings from out of town and out of state with them. Just a few blocks away, the Inn at DePauw will fill up quickly for the evening so if you can’t find a room there, search Airbnb or VRBO so you don’t miss out on the Saturday portion of the event!

More music, more games, more food trucks and beer gardens. Saturday is the continuation of the Friday night fun with even more bands and more excitement. The cornhole tournament, which had 40 teams last year, starts at 3:00 p.m. A children’s area will keep the kids busy and entertained while you enjoy the music and fun. Almost Home Restuarant provides food and drinks throughout the entire weekend. This is truly a “can’t miss” event and one you will want to put on your calendar for years to come!
