Putnam Parks & Pathways hosts a Monthly Hiking Tour Series that will highlight a variety of local trails, nature preserves, and parks. Guided by a professional in their field, each hike will consist of learning about some type of wildlife, native plant, or other nature-oriented discussions.
May’s second hike will be held at the Owl Trail, at Glenn Flint Lake. Sarah and John Hawthorne will guide the group through a large grove of trees, planted nearly two decades ago. Plants along the trail will be identified, we will stop at a seasonal pond, and view a large pollinator planting. The group and leaders will discuss upcoming plans for expansion to the trail. Owl Trail(Glenn Flint Lake Woodland) is owned by the Little Walnut Creek Conservancy District.
The entrance to OWL Trail is straight across the street from: 5306 West County Road 375 North, Greencastle, IN 46135
