Putnam Parks & Pathways hosts a Monthly Hiking Tour Series that will highlight a variety of local trails, nature preserves, and parks. Guided by a professional in their field, each hike will consist of learning about some type of wildlife, native plant, or other nature-oriented discussions.
While the group is still searching for a guide, the hiking location has been set for the November Monthly Hike. Camp Friend, a private park with a unique and hilly trail system will be the host for this excursion. Dedicated to serving and teaching the youth of the county about outdoor recreation, the group at Camp Friend has close ties to the local Boy Scout Troup who will be attending and partially leading the hike. We will visit the facilities on-site and hike an out-and-back trail along the north side of the property.
The meeting location will be at the main parking entrance, the address is 4690 S CO RD 325 W, GREENCASTLE, IN, 46135: CLICK HERE TO VIEW IT ON GOOGLE MAPS
