Putnam Parks & Pathways hosts a Monthly Hiking Tour Series that will highlight a variety of local trails, nature preserves, and parks. Guided by a professional in their field, each hike will consist of learning about some type of wildlife, native plant, or other nature-oriented discussions.

The first hike of 2024 will be held at Lieber & Cataract SRA. Sponsored and supported by the SRA staff, this hike begins at 10:00 a.m. and leaves out from the Hilltop Shelter in the park. An Indiana tradition, First Day Hikes happen all around the state, this one will be special though. Joined by the Putnam Parks & Pathways crew as well as local birding enthusiasts, participants are encouraged to bring binoculars to view the birds.
