Explore your creative side with a group of like-minded individuals! Dessa Frank, the woman behind the clay at Sassafrass Art Studio regularly leads classes and workshops throughout the year for residents and visitors to join. These classes normally extend two to three hours and take you through all stages of creating a number of craft items, mainly pottery, and ceramics. Each class is different, some consist of multiple visits, and most are themed to suit the time of year. This event is called “Zombie Head Planter.”

• Artists ages 8+ will join Dessa Frank to create a creepy or cutesy zombie head planter using various found objects, fake flora and fauna, and sculpt-a-mold. This workshop is 9-11:30 am on October 7. Planters will be taken home at the end of the class. Students should arrive promptly in studio attire with a water and be ready to create!
