Putnam Parks & Pathways hosts a Monthly Hiking Tour Series that will highlight a variety of local trails, nature preserves, and parks. Guided by a professional in their field, each hike will consist of learning about some type of wildlife, native plant, or other nature-oriented discussions.

Ending the 2023 Monthly Hiking Tour calendar, the Putnam Parks & Pathways group will lead another adventure on People Pathways. Starting at the Putnam Nature Trail, Trailhead, they will take an out-and-back hike on the southern portion of the trail. Overflow parking can be found across the street at 3G Bowling.

This portion of the trail is home to a bluebird trail adjacent to the path. The group will check and clean the boxes to prepare them for the Eastern Bluebirds in the spring, as well as placing several new bluebird houses.
