A First Friday unlike any other, The Taste of Putnam County, sponsored by the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce is a culinary competition for the title of “Best Restaurant in the County.” More than 20 restaurants put together bite-sized samples that are voted on by First Friday attendees. Returning two-time victor, Bon Appetite, surprises First Friday guests with a new twist every year.

Sponsored by Main Street Greencastle, First Friday is a once-a-month celebration of local culture. Franklin and Indiana streets, around the Greencastle Courthouse Square, are closed for multiple music stages on which multiple live performers and bands play all evening. Each First Friday is unique and all feature local foods and plenty for children to enjoy. Guests certainly are welcome, and admission is free.
