The Heritage Preservation Society of Putnam County promotes and encourages interest in homes and their families, buildings, properties, history, and heritage.
The Heritage Preservation Society was founded to cooperate with and assist individuals, groups, governmental bodies, officials, and employees of governments; to collaborate with other historical, educational, cultural, civic, and philanthropic organizations or individuals interested in the history and heritage of the Putnam County area.
Recently it created several audio walking tours to accompany an interactive map of historic areas around the county.
