Hobbit Gardens is earth, sky, woods, plants, sun, and rain. We are learning how to walk gently upon Grandmother Earth, learning to make our footprints smaller so there is a place for all. We teach what we know and what we are learning.
Hobbit Gardens Erth Gathering Center is nearly 30 acres of woods, ravines and pastures. The herb, perennial and vegetable gardens are organically and sustainably grown on more than two acres, with plants, produce and products for sale in the Garden Shop.
Hobbit Gardens is a place of learning about how we live upon the earth and how we can better live upon the earth, creating as small an ecological footprint as possible. It offers workshops on growing, harvesting, using the herbs, organics, weeds, edible landscape, plant medicine, in addition to apprentice programs in herbal studies, garden tours, classes, and programs.
Each season there is a large gathering where guests are welcome to learn and share and teach what we know and what we love. The Erth Center celebrates the solstices and equinoxes to align lives with the rhythms of the earth, the seasons and the changes that create balance.
