Two distinct sites, Poplar Grove and Sunny Acres, provide more than 200 options to camp in Lieber State Recreation Area.
Playgrounds, swimming, fishing, boating, trails, waterfalls, and covered bridges, Lieber State Recreation Area has almost every amenity you want while camping. Enjoy all of it from one of the two campground sections just beyond the park’s main entrance. An equal mix of electric and non-electric, and RV and tent camping exist to suit all needs.
Old-growth forest surrounds the campgrounds, and most sites are nestled into the treeline. Trails parallel the roadways, and there are plenty of basketball courts, volleyball courts, and other activities within walking distance. The beach at Cagles Mill Lake provides access to swim, fish, and enjoy your stay with covered shelters and grills for cooking. Jet ski and boat rentals are also available during the summer, and the pool area is open as well.
