Get yourself in the mood for a little holiday shopping. Nearly 50 vendors line the edges of the buildings at the Putnam County Fairgrounds, selling all sorts of artisan gifts, crafts, and knick-knacks. In its third year, the Greencastle Christmas Market has continued to grow, adding new vendors every year with a majority of them from the Putnam County area.

New vendors like, Crimson Poppy, bring artwork and handpainted items while old favorites such as JTB Creations sell their self-designed t-shirts and pillows. Local favorites from the Farmers Market and First Fridays are attendance also!

Hosted on the first Saturday in November each year, the event is free to enter and free to park. Open to all ages and easily accessible for those who may have a tough time getting around. There will be a food vendor on-site this year, Wally’s Food Trailer, will serve the delicious BBQ that you find at their restaurant on the south side of town. Plan a visit to start your holiday shopping early or just pick up something new, your local artisans and craftspeople will thank you for joining the crowd and supporting their work!
