More than 40,000 lights transform Greencastle’s Robe-Ann Park into a Winter Wonderland you are invited to enjoy at no charge.

This first-ever display in the Park continues every evening through January 7, with lights turned on from 5 to 10 p.m.  Visitors are welcome to park and walk through the display; however, it is designed to be enjoyed just as much by car.

Enter Robe-Ann Park at the entrance on State Road 231, just south of Hanna Street.  The drive curves to the right, leading you through the Park and light display, and looping back around to the entrance gate.

“We would love to see this experience expand throughout the Park, with music added to make it a true festival experience,” said Kate Knaul who is leading the initiative. Destined to become an annual event, the Park has space for it to grow larger every year.  The nightly display of colorful holiday lights is thanks to hundreds of volunteer hours led by the Greencastle Civic League, in partnership with the Greencastle Parks & Recreation Department.

In addition to the lights every night, we hope to see you at these following events:

December 5: Winter Market, sponsored by the Greencastle Farmers Market and the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (4:30 – 8 pm)

December 12: Santa in the Park, sponsored by Main Street Greencastle (2-4pm)

December 19: Covered Bridge Harmony Barbershop Chorus (6-7pm) with hot chocolate for sale by Habitat for Humanity, as part of their ongoing fundraising.
