Monthly Hiking Tour

April 8, 2023 9:00am - 10:00am

Putnam Parks & Pathways hosts a Monthly Hiking Tour Series that will highlight a variety of local trails, nature preserves, and parks. Guided by a professional in their field, each hike will consist of learning about some type of wildlife, native plant, or other nature-oriented discussions.

In April, we take the group to Hall Woods Nature Preserve where hikers can expect to learn how to identify native spring ephemeral wildflowers and discover the connections between these unique plants and their environment. Ashley Adair will lead the hike. Ashley, a Putnam County native, has spent her professional career working in the Purdue Extension system. Ashley has found opportunities to spread the joy of spring ephemeral wildflowers to all who would listen.

The group will meet at the parking lot off of East County Road 675 North, the address is: 3301-3727 E County Rd 675 N, Greencastle, IN 46135 – Click here to see the Google Map view.
